Magic Mike the Magician performs
close-up illusions using the guests as his assistant and makes a
balloon hat for the special person. Magic Mike the Magician is one of
the best mixed age entertainer magicians. Magic Mike's show is suited
for kids of
all ages, adults, business parties and events. At children's shows he
makes balloon animals, swords, flowers, and fun, crazy hats after the
magic show. He plays an animal guessing game making balloon animals.
The first to guess keeps that one, until all children have guessed and
won one. While he makes the animals, they must say something they know
about that animal. It's fun using their mind. Seattle Weekly did a
feature story, as did KING5-TV children's show "How Come", when Magic
Mike the Magician came to Seattle in 1980, and he has been featured in
stories with children at many Northwest festivals on Seattle TV
stations 4,5,7,11,22. Magic Mike the Magician has performed magic at
numerous pre-schools, day cares, and public schools, performing magic
and balloon animals for children and adults in Pacific Northwest homes
and at street festivals. Magic Mike the Magician Promotes Reading! At children shows, he discusses the importance of reading. He tells the children that he learned magic when he was 7 years old by reading books from the library. Magic Mike the Magician tells children they can learn anything from books and encourages them to use the library and dictionaries. During his show, he talks about the history of magic tricks magicians have performed, showing tricks from caveman magicians through today. "I love how they start out
skeptical
then you hear,"How does he DO that?" After the magic show, I make
balloon animals, hats, spears, and swords. I ask them to guess what I'm
making, and what they know about each animal. And the adults say
they're enjoying it as much as the kids. A film producer I met said, "I
have a friend who is a well known magician. He does tricks. But, Magic
Mike, you do magic. You make people feel that they are seeing magic. I
called a friend that I hadn't spoken to since we were sixteen. He said
that on the train trip home, he started relating to someone a magic
trick I did that stunned him. That was thirty-five years of enjoyment.
I have been doing close-up illusions since I was six years old, even
surrounded by people. I can feel everyone's attention, and state of
mind, so I can give it the proper timing to give them a "snap of mind"
at the end, that awes. I've seen people jump backwards, scream, fall to
their knees, or run away. Up close I'm spellbinding. I
love to give people the lasting feeling of wonder and awe. And I love
to get kids wanting to discover reading and learning. I hope you'll
call. I'll make room on my schedule for you." - Magic Mike

An amazing report was published by the Environmental Working Group, titled “Over 140 Contaminants Without Safety Limits in U.S. Drinking Water.” Volatile Organic Chemicals (VOC's) are contaminants that may be found in drinking water supplies across the nation. VOC's are those organic chemicals (pesticides, herbicides, and other chemicals) that are "readily vaporizable at a relatively low temperature" With no visible characteristics, smell, or taste, VOC's are virtually undetectable in drinking water by the consumer. VOC's are often toxic and pose intimidating health risks. Almost every region in the U.S. has VOC's in the water supplies. Urban areas may get VOC's from industrialization, and rural areas may get VOC's from agriculture. Also, 90% of U.S. drinking water is chlorinated (and most likely contains disinfectant by-products); thus, VOC's are practically everywhere. In a recent study by the Environmental Working Group, 28 of 29 cities tested were found to have herbicides or pesticides in their tap water. Read it all
